Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for anyone who wants to improve their maths and who does not already have a GCSE grade C (4) or above.
Entry Requirements
None, before joining a course, all learners will have an initial assessment to ensure that you are on the correct level course.
What You Will Learn
This course will cover solving mathematical problems, using numbers and the number system, using common measures, shape and space & handling data and information
Course Aim
Improving your maths will help you in everyday life and work situations. You will be able to gain a nationally recognised qualification in maths.
Course Length
2 hours per week up to 40 weeks
What You Will Need to Bring
Notebook, pen, pencil, ruler, calculator.
How You Will Learn
Teaching and learning will be classroom based - led by a tutor and supported by independent learning at home (on-line resources and/or workbooks)
How you will be assessed
Initial and diagnostic assessment, continual assessment through the course, then final assessment is to sit a formal non calculator paper and a calculator paper.

Progression to the next level, higher education, employment and/or volunteering opportunities.
